Throughout my adult life, the best jobs I have had were the ones where I could help people. From serving my country in the Army Reserves, being a loan processor/officer in helping finance people’s dreams, to a Kindergarten/First Grade teacher helping a child reach their highest learning potential, I loved what I did. Needless to say, when my husband said he was going to partner with Ben to start a CBD business I had to learn more. We were already using CBD products and were amazed at how much they helped us and it would be great to be able to have a high-quality product at the most reasonable price possible so we could help other people too.

We planted our first crop of hemp at the same time we were getting the processing lab, with all of the equipment, up and going. It was a busy crazy time and we could not have done it without our families and a few good workers that seemed as passionate about the business as we were. As we brought in the harvest and started on our product line, I found myself working just as many hours at the lab as I did in the classroom so I had to make the hard decision to step down from teaching and focus completely on one position.

What made leaving my kindergartners a little easier was knowing that the great products we have and the transparency we strive for were helping people. Not only that but the team of employees we have are top-notch! We all have to wear many hats day to day, being a small business, and I am so grateful for each and every person I work with! Just focusing on the awesome women I work with (no offense guys) I would have to say that every one of them wants to see the business succeed and they all make sure we are putting out the best product possible.

Sherie is someone I worked hard on coming to work for us, as I have worked with her in the past two jobs I had. She is a hard worker, master gummy maker, and her attention to detail is top-notch – a huge asset in all parts of production, plus we like jamming to the same music on those Friday afternoons when everyone else leaves early.

Lori, my little sister, is another person I kept working on to come work for us – when she finally said yes the position was filled, but it must have been meant to be because that person changed their mind so it opened up again just in time!! The sacrifice she and her husband made to move and come work for us makes me so appreciative and grateful that I hope they don’t ever regret their decision. Lori is one of those rare types of people that when you have a job for them to do, they do it well and they don’t stop until it is done!

Alisha is our newest employee. She is also a hard worker and starting to master all areas of production. She is very easy going and even doesn’t mind when I continually call her Ashley instead of Alisha (I am working on that)!

I am so proud to work with every one of these women and so thankful they are here and part of our team. I truly believe we are a team and I love all of the input and ideas that they have. They make my job much easier and they make sure that the end product is the best it can be!

Hi, my name is Lori. I have been with Sunny Skies CBD since mid-August of 2020. When my sister Terri invited me to be part of the lab team, I was hesitant. I lived in Rhinelander Wisconsin, with my husband and my two adult daughters nearby. It was a life changing decision to uproot our lives as we knew it for the unknown. I’m thankful we took that leap. Prior to starting at Sunny Skies, I visited the store for a while getting to know everyone. The atmosphere and the staff were so welcoming I knew I would fit in.

I’m amazed by the other women I work alongside daily.

I see the different hats Terri wears throughout the day and I am very proud to call her my older sister. And on top of that, making sure every product that goes thru her eyes and hands meets her standards before sending it out to our customers.

Tiffany keeps us calm throughout the day with her organizational skills and knowledge about the products that I hope to have down someday. Her love for her job keeps me energized.

Sherie and Alisha keep things light and fun. I am excited to come to work and to see what’s on the work board for us to fulfill. Making a product that helps people is what I was meant to do. I can’t wait to see what more Sunny Skies CBD has in store for me and for you.
